Music was dominated by The Motown sound, folk-rock and the British Invasion along with Elvis' return. The Woodstock festival, with bands like Jefferson Airplane and the Grateful Dead, the last great Jimi Hendrix. Musicials became increasingly popular with The Sound Of Music and My Fair Lady, six James Bond movies. Music radio introduced AM/FM, 1961 brought "the twist." Television's cartoons like the Flintstones, Alvin & the Chipmunks, the Jetsons. Regular TV shows like the Beverly Hillbillies, I Dream of Jeannie, & Twilight Zone start their run. 3 Olympic Games were held in the 60's, in Rome, Tokyo and Mexico City. Lyndon Johnson signed the Civil Rights Bill on July 2, 1964, Voting Rights Act on August 6,1965 and the Fair Housing act in 1968. Dr. King had a dream in 1963, with him, Kennedy and Malcolm X checked out via assassination before the end of the decade.
